Filming Update

These were taken yesterday when we were re-filming some sections of our music video. We chose to do this as the previous clips were not as good as they could have been, so they were detracting from our video. We are nearly finished with filming the extra clips, so we can integrate them in to our video and have a finished draft.

Time Management Update

We have started editing our music video now, though we have realised that a few clips aren't as good as they could be, so we have decided to re-film and update them. So far our music video is a rough copy and we are still working out particular clips and the best way to integrate them.
At the end of this week we hope to have a final draft of our video, that we can get some feedback on and then edit appropriately.

Filming update

These were taken when we started filming in the woods. We got most of the filming for this section complete, but we will have to come back on Wednesday to finish that off. After that also on Wednesday we have booked a stage at the assembly rooms, so we can have a more professional approach for our performance section of our video.

Lisa
In our group we decided to cast Lisa in the video, as she is more a stereotypical fan of the pop genre; following mainstream styles etc. This makes her more appealing to our target audience. She also follows the generic look associated with more feminine artists. This creates a good contrast with our other performer (Katie's) look.

Katie

We've chosen Katie because in our research we could see that her style coheres with the artists we've been looking at, which would appeal to our target audience. Also she has a good star image we want to create for the more casual female performer.

For our music video, we had an idea to have two artists which contrast each other, that's why they will appear differently to the audience. Katie and Lisa's looks will differ which means we can portray two different star images, appealing to a wider audience.

Costumes and props

For our costumes and props we are going to have one of our performers looking more 'girly' and the other more casual, this will make a contrast that can appeal to all of our target audience. with this we also have a checklist of who can bring props and costumes in for filming. All these costumes and props have been chosen to help amplify our song like what is said in Goodwin's theory, this will make it more relateable to the audience so it draws them in.
